Yanmar, a world leader in the
manufacturing of Diesel engines and Compact Construction Equipment,
currently imports several models of compact excavators, and compact
wheel loaders. Established in 1912, Yanmar has a rock-solid history
of providing quality engines and equipment to the world. Yanmar is
divided into several divisions: Construction Machinery, Marine,
Industrial Engines, Agricultural Products and others. While engine
production is the mainstay of the company, building over 210
different engine models, Yanmar is noted as a leading innovator for
the Construction Equipment industry. In 1971, Yanmar introduced a Crawler Loader and a Carrier Dumper, both “mini's” and became a full-line provider of compact equipment. Yanmar continued to experiment with different types of compact equipment throughout the 1970's including a Skid Steer Loader, a Crane Carrier and a Loader Backhoe. In 1979, Yanmar, again with another first, introduced the first excavator with rubber tracks, and the modern compact excavator was born.
In 1987, the B series excavators were introduced and advanced through three model improvements and advancements in technology. In 1994, Yanmar continuing its flair for innovation, introduced the ViO series, the first full line “true zero-turning” radius machines. Yanmar will continue to develop and offer innovative products and is committed to offering more products in the North American market.
